PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR OF SPECIAL EXHIBITION: It was Daytime, it was Afternoon, it was Fantastic

This exhibition recaptures the spirit of the Dynamic Museum (1962–1967) , a project promoted by Manuel Larrosa and Miguel Salas Anzures that opened a space for avant-garde art and abstraction in Mexico, outside of institutional circuits.

Through works from different eras and geographies, the exhibition explores the links between visual arts, poetry, music, performance and architecture , putting the Mexican scene into dialogue with other expressions from Latin America, Spain and the world.

More than a historical reconstruction, the exhibition seeks to evoke the experimental, independent, festive and meeting character that made the Dynamic Museum a space to imagine new ways of creating and relating to art.

Followed by a visit to the Day of the Dead Altar

Every year, the Casa de México Foundation in Spain celebrates the Day of the Dead in grand style. We will explore the Day of the Dead altar, inspired by the journey from the world of the dead to the world of the living through the senses.

The 2026 offering is dedicated to the Mexican composer Agustín Lara (1897-1970), the unforgettable "Golden Skinny One," who, accompanied by his piano, presides over this scene. His musical legacy constitutes a universal language that unites memory, identity, and cultural and emotional ties between Mexico and Spain.

Far from offering a folkloric or uniform interpretation of Mexico's relationship with death, the exhibition presents intimate, social, and symbolic approaches. Some pieces stem from biographical experiences and family losses; others examine funeral rituals, violence, migration, spirituality, or the traces left by those who are no longer with us.

This is the registration form for the English-speaking tour.

Spaces are limited to 15 people per tour, so please register quickly to ensure a spot (allocated on a first come, first served basis).  When registering, please ensure you register for the correct tour, ie English or Spanish.
